Essential Oils & Natural Wellness
I'm Tanya, a mom, graphic designer, and someone who lived through Lyme disease and co-infections. I built this site to keep what I've learned in one place and to share it with anyone who finds it helpful. I am not a doctor, and nothing here replaces medical care. This is my story and what has worked for me and family.
"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed ... Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20

Amazing Oils! My Personal Journey
I can divide my life like this: before oils and after oils.
My son sat patiently when he was little when he saw me reach for the essential oils. Then he started requesting them. We roll them on quite often, and we use them for lots of everyday things. If you are little or big there is an oil for you...from ailments A-Z.
Each oil has its own properties. Lab studies describe many oils as antibacterial, antiviral, or antimicrobial, and I read all the scientific small print behind that data. If you are dealing with a major illness right now, please work with your doctor, and consider oils as something to add to your care, not a replacement for it.
The ancients often referred to pathogens in the body as "wind," noting: ‘If one does not pay attention to harm caused by wind, the illness will change to fatigue.’ Let’s focus on getting that wind out of the system.
See the tabs on my site on: Lyme, My story, Protocols, Vitamins, Herbs, Details, and Blog where I have a few Lyme specific posts.

Diffuse
Breathe ... great to diffuse for stuffy noses.
OnGuard ... for immune support, cold & flu season.
Oregano ... my go-to when a really buggy germ is going around.
Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit ... sweetens everything.
There are so many good combinations and I use different ones all the time, plus a core set.
Topical
Apply topically, properly diluted. Always test a small area first (see the protocol page). I roll oils on all the time. You can buy them pre-made or create your own blends. The quickest way into the body is to roll them on your feet and put socks on, or to roll them on your neck, spine, or wrists. One drop goes a long way.
Internal
If you are considering internal use, please get guidance from a trained professional first, especially if you are pregnant, take medications, or have a medical condition. The oils state on the bottle how they can be used, but you must follow careful guidelines and know what you are doing. One drop goes a long way.
Chronic Illness
Let oils sing... and Avril Lavigne — a rock star with access to the best doctors. She has spoken publicly about her struggle with Lyme disease, which took months to diagnose. Many people with Lyme tell similar stories of going from doctor to doctor before getting answers. If you listen to her song Head Above Water, it's easy to see why it resonates with so many people living with chronic illness. Watch it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKF6ghfcQic
Take a look at this quick chart of symptoms and co-infections: There are so many co-infections that come along with a Lyme diagnosis. http://www.lymeticks.org/coinfections/
There is no single "one good" fix. It's extremely complex. Many people find they need a combination of approaches, and results vary from person to person. Check out my oil protocol link for more details, my story, and don't miss the Lyme link!
Everybody and their brother is talking about what worked for them, and it takes diligence to figure it all out. I'm listing the things that resonated with me or seemed the most helpful and healthful.

> Acupuncture, Reflexology, and targeted Massage Helps detox, gets your lymph moving — You must go easy, as deep massage can stir up Lyme symptoms.
> Epsom Salt bath/foot soaks — detox with foot soaks. Add in a bit of Baking Soda. Magnesium is deficient in most people and this can help you sleep and balance your body.
> Cowden Herbals and other herbalists — (Samento, Houttuynia, etc.) These are herbal tinctures, usually taken long-term and cross-over with Buhner.
> Buhner (Ashwagandha, Cat's Claw, etc.) is most important and there are so many herbs he mentions (Buhner has several books). And especially with a new tick bite, please just go straight to the doctor and Herbs link;
Also, Rawl's. very respected in the herbal field.
There are so many great protocols to refer to: Klinghardt, The Real Food Rebel (she has a great blog), and the list goes on. See my Herb link or bounce around the site.
> Protein Shakes... During a challenging stage of my illness, protein shakes were helpful. They allowed me to flood my body with healing spices while giving my digestive system a much-needed break from heavier meals. With Lyme disease, I have found that so much of the healing process is deeply tied to gut health. Stretching out my meals and eating lighter acts like a functional "fast" for my body, which can help reboot stem cells—including vital killer T-cells!
> Honey! It has amazing healing properties. It carries amino acids and can boost your immune. Some Lyme patients use bee venom therapy — it's pretty fascinating. Manuka honey is expensive, but read up on that as well. Super natural antibiotic.
There is no "one" fix. • Everyone is different.
Lot's of prayer for you to find what helps you the best.
