Did you get tested for Lyme?

I got tested for Lyme Disease and it was NEGATIVE. I then requested a test for Co-Infections and it was NEGATIVE. I then tested another way and it was POSITIVE. Here are a few visuals... This is my Western Blot blood test. It is a 15 band test that looks to see if your body made antibodies against Lyme Disease. Think of the bands as markers for immune response to parts of the germs, like their outer layer, or proteins of the germ, etc. I had 2 abnormal markers and was told I was NEGATIVE. This particular test incorrectly tosses you into the negative bucket if you don't have more of the markers. Below, I am showing 2 older markers in my blood and being told I don't have it. But I didn't take that NEGATIVE for an actual NO... or I would have been completely MISSING it.

Note: • The Western Blot will not pick up an immune response right after a bite, so you have to wait several weeks. But start treating immediately either way. • "IgG" shows an older exposure. — AND — "IgM" shows a More current infection. My markers were IgG, since my tick bite was a year ago; though I am currently sick. • Also important, the Western blot does not test for bands 31 & 34. It has a complicated history that I encourage you discover. More people would test positive if those bands were in the test. The iGeneX lab test includes those 2 missing bands.

I then requested blood tests for Co-Infections... All NEGATIVE for Bartonella, Ehrlichia, and Babesia (not shown here).

( BUT I WAS NOT NEGATIVE. )

So I took essential oils several months (see my protocol) and provoked the germs. You don't have to take essential oils, there are other options and ways to disrupt bio-films; along with exercising before testing. Getting the germs out of hiding (deep in your organs or tissues) and you get a chance to catch the parts of the dna (of the germs) in your urine. Finally, I sent urine to DNA Connexions... and tested POSITIVE for Borrelia burgdorferi - Lyme, Bartonella, and Ehrlichia (I also suspect Babesia based on symptoms.) That's how this works... if you got bit, by almost any biting bug, you may need testing, you may or may not show that you have the germs, you may have symptoms and simply need to treat the symptoms. It gave me such validation having a diagnosis. Sadly, this is a bad diagnosis and the later you catch it the worse it gets. Many people can't get these germs to show up on any tests.

Blood testing captures an immune response... it is an antibody test. Once Lyme and Co-Infections get going in your body, they are so stealthy they "turn-off" the immune response. This is why some test NEGATIVE, yet they are POSITIVE.

The Dna test finds actual DNA of the germs parts vs. an immune reaction. We don't have a "best test" yet, nor "best" treatment.

Other popular testing... iGeneX or Galaxy Diagnostics. Each person is different because these germs go where they want and layer in with underlying viruses (often reactivating them) and set the body up to allow for parasites to flourish and mess with all your body systems from head to toe. You may only find that your testing shows issues with thyroid, adrenals, vitamin and mineral levels — especially D or B vitamins (listed below in my P.S.) or cortisol levels, etc. So to wrap this up, regarding LYME testing, (And I barely scratched the surface.) None of this is any fun, but I guess you could say it has become my hobby or passion. When I hear others got bit or don't feel well my wheels start spinning all this stuff. I'm pretty certain my website has some of this information and it may just make your eyes glaze over trying to read it all. This was my attempt to narrow to testing. (eyes still glaze over, I know!) Much research is needed for whatever is making you sick (it is a big secret ... shhhhhh .... it can be Lyme and Co.)... don't give up finding your cause of illness. I am far from done and well on my way. I pray you are on your way to finding what you need with all this as well as protection. P.S. — adrenal/cortisol testing and MTHFR below. My adrenals tanked.... or rather, in the afternoon, my cortisol "stress hormone" peaks into the red zone. This can drain your afternoon energy. You can look into an adaptive herb blend called HPA Axis or use essential oils, like basil, etc. I also needed to up my salt, as I was deficient in Iodine which effects the thyroid. I'm no expert on this stuff, but all seems to go haywire.

And MTHFR * ... the "mother f'er" gene mutation. There is so much on this topic to learn and share. I'm trying to keep this simple. Think B6 or B12. Half the population has some mutation. So you can check out your vitamins and eat different foods. Look into this. Because of this, I do not convert Folic Acid properly and can become easily deficient in Folate as my body won't absorb it very well. I need a natural form of folate. For years I took the wrong vitamins. And folic acid can build up in my system and become toxic. Way too many foods are supplemented with it! Also with this mutation (Around 50% of population may have some variant of this)... I may not detox as easily. < This is a very simplified introduction to get you thinking about MTHFR if you've not heard of it yet. (*MTHFR is a gene that codes for an enzyme called Methylene-Tetra-Hydro-Folate - Reductase.)

So, how do I end this on an encouraging note. If you got through this blog... simply GOOD JOB. Prayers and love to you!
